Malep report submitted to the President "Bidyadevi Bhandari"

The 57th report of the Auditor General has shown that 97 percent of the total deficits in the fiscal year 2075/076 belong to the ten major ministries. In the report submitted to President Bidyadevi Bhandari on Wednesday, it is mentioned that the total unaccounted amount was Rs. 132.99 billion in the fiscal year 2075/076 alone. Of these, 97 percent belong to the top ten ministries. Deputy Auditor General of the Auditor General's Office Maheshwar Kafle said that 97 percent of the total unaccounted amount released in the fiscal year 2075/076 was in the top ten ministries. He said that most of them are from the Ministry of Finance. The Ministry of Finance has Rs. 19.66 billion unaccounted for.
Similarly, Rs 14 billion from the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Rs 9 billion from the Ministry of Defense, Rs 4 billion from the Prime Minister's Office, Rs 4.28 billion from the Ministry of Water Supply, Rs 3.34 billion from the Ministry of Urban Development, Rs 2.95 billion from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The Ministry of Land, Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation has Rs 2.63 billion, the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Rs 2.14 billion and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Rs 1.38 billion. Apart from this, the total balance of other ministries is Rs. 6 billion 546 million. The total outstanding balance up to FY 2075/07 is Rs. 664.44 billion.

It is seen that the total unpaid amount has decreased in FY 2075/07 as compared to FY 2074/07. Deputy Auditor General Kafle said that out of the total audit of government bodies of Rs. 208.84 billion in the fiscal year 2074/07, Rs. 106.34 billion was unaccounted for and Rs. He said that it was Rs. Of these, 3,120 offices have been audited by the federal ministry and agencies, 77 by the District Coordination Committee, 998 out of 1,000 offices of the provincial ministries and 143 out of 753 local level offices. Similarly, four local levels have conducted arrears audit. It is mentioned in the 57th report of the Auditor General's Office that the financial audit of 577 such committees and other organizations and 93 organized organizations has been done.
