Several people have been killed in a mass shooting at a church in Hamburg, Germany. According to the German news agency dpa, at least one gunman opened fire on parishioners during a church service at a meeting hall regularly used by Jehovah's Witnesses.

Police have reported several people were killed and a number of others injured in a deadly shooting in Hamburg in northern Germany. The incident was reported to have taken place at a Jehovah's Witness hall. Police deployed special security forces to the area. The shooting occurred in a district of the city called Alsterdorf. Police said the background and potential motive behind the shooting during a Jehovah's Witnesses event were unclear. "We have no indications of a perpetrator on the run," a police spokesperson said at the scene. They said there are "indications that a perpetrator may have been in the building and may be even among the dead."
