Pushpa was burnt with petrol? Pushpa’s father’s statement.

A new thing has come out in the case of Pushpa Neupane, who committed self-immolation in Dhumbarahi after the engagement was broken. Pushpa Neupane, operations manager of Kelmi Nepal located on Darbarmarg, was found burning in front of Sudhan Sangraula’s house on 18th December. The police rescued him and took him to Kirtipur Hospital, the doctors declared him dead at 9:30 the next morning.

Stating that a five-liter gallon of petrol was found at the scene, the police termed the incident as self-immolation. But where was the petrol brought from? How did Pushpa, who came out from her house in Buddhanagar saying she was going to a tailor shop, reach Dhumbarahi? The answer to such questions was not clear.

During the investigation by the police, the “Pathao Rider” has been found, who has answered these questions. According to rider Sampur Rizal, he received a request for a ride from Dhumbarahi around 2.30 pm on the day of the incident.

“He told me to come near Saipal Academy, but when I got there, I could not meet the caller”, he said, “When I called, he said that he was on his way, carrying a white jerkin in his hand.” Rizal said.

“When I asked him where to go in Chabhil, he told me to go to where there is a petrol pump”, he further said, “When I reached from Sukedhara Chowk to Chakrapath police station, he showed me that there is a pump there, go there.” Pushpa sat behind. Rizal told the police that he was asked to fill four and a half liters of petrol in Jerkin.

“Instead of where to go after filling the petrol, she said to go to the previous place”, says Rizal. When he asked why he bought it, he said it was for a friend. He then said that he left Pushpa at a place opposite Saipal Academy.

Rizal said that he was shocked when he read the news that the next morning a young woman, whom he identified as Pushpa Neupane, committed suicide by pouring petrol on her body in Dhumbarahi. Rizal told the police, “When I saw the photos of the dead person widely on Tik Tok, I was sure that she was the one riding the motorcycle from Dhumbarahi”.

Just a day before this incident, Pushpa’s engagement with Sudhan was broken. According to Pushpa’s father, Purushottam Neupane, the Sangraula family took back the betel after both of them had their arguments. Sudhan and Pushpa got engaged four months ago on Pushpa’s birthday.

However, the relationship between the two did not remain the same for long. It can be seen from the statements that both parties doubt each other. After the engagement was broken, Pushpa became crazy. I reminded my daughter thinking that this incident might have caused her stress, she said that this boy had caused her stress.

I thought she was safe as she remembered,’ father Purushottam Neupane said in a statement to the police, ‘she behaved as if she was self-satisfied by saying that she would stay calm and marry before that boy.’ He said that he had a lot of stress in his mind regarding his relationship with Sudhan.

According to the statement of Pushpa’s father included in the police investigation report, on 18th of December in the afternoon, Pushpa left home saying that she was going to sew clothes. After that she did not come back. According to the statement of Pathao driver Ravi Shah, Pushpa made a ‘request’ for a ride from Baneshwar around 1:22 pm.
