Actor Paul Shah Case

Actor Paul Shah has been acquitted. District Court Tanahun on Tuesday acquitted Paul Shah, who is incarcerated in the Karni case, saying that the prosecution claim was not sufficient. The decision was made after the final hearing of the case in the bench of District Judge Komal Prasad Acharya.

Both sides had debates throughout the day on Tuesday. Srestedar Min Bahadur Kunwar of District Court Tanahun has said that Shah has been acquitted.

This case has been adjourned even though it has been scheduled for hearing many times before. Paul was accused of raping a minor singer. But later the girl named P Dit changed her statement in the court and said that the complaint was false.

Campaigner and RPP MP Gyanendra Shahi has congratulated actor Paul Shah on his acquittal. His congratulatory words received thousands of likes within a few hours. Gyanendra wrote – Today Paul Shah has been proved innocent by Tanahun District Court. I am very happy today. A righteous battle has been won. Congratulations and best wishes!

Actor Shah acquitted by Tanahun court- The Tanahun district court has acquitted actor Purnavikram Shah (Paul Shah), who is incarcerated in Tanahun jail on charges of raping a minor. The girl was proved innocent in the charge of child molestation.

The single bench of District Judge Komal Prasad Acharya has acquitted actor Shah by holding that the prosecution claim is not sufficient. Shrestedar Meen Bahadur Kunwar of Tanahun District Court informed that the court has ruled that the indictment claim will not be accepted in the hearing against Shah.

“In the case registered against Shah in the Tanahun district court, the court has given a verdict of acquittal”, he said, “If the victim is not satisfied with the decision, he has the freedom to appeal.” The hearing of the case against actor Shah was postponed several times in Tanahun district court. Senior Advocate Kamalamohan Wagle, Parashuram Giri, Krishna Bahadur Thapa and Advocate Bhanubhakta Subedi argued in the final hearing of the case today.
