Wai Wai is not a brand made in Nepal
Chapter-1
Wai Wai was born in Thailand
In 1972, Surin Napapruekchat, a family of 7, opened his first company, which was called Thai Preserved Food Factory. This company produced noodles.
Who named his noodles Wai Wai
Yes, the journey of Wai Wai starts from here.
But it was not so easy for Mr. Surin to sell Wi-Fi in Thailand.
The reason was Esco compitior
In 1972, along with Thai preserved food factory, Thai President Food Factory also started its noodle making journey. whose under ma was mama noodles
At that time
Mama was Thailand’s largest noodle manufacturer with a market share of 50 percent.
Wai Wai’s market share was only 20 to 22 percent.
Wai Wai made some changes in Wai Wai to increase its market share and also started launching new products. It all started when Mr Surin’s son Pricha entered the company as a finance manager in 1978. By 1998, Wi-Fi had increased its market share to 30 to 35 percent.
But even though Wai Wai increased its market share in Thailand, it did not make any difference to its competitor Mama Chow Chow.
Because by that time mama had started selling her noodles abroad
But the Thai preserved food factory did not take its products to the international market or could not get them.
90s Tir thai preserved food factory did not enter its wai wai noodles in the international market due to an agreement with a Nepali
It was an agreement that would cost the Thai preserved food factory both huge losses and regrets in the future.
