The great poet Laxmi Prasad Devkota, who has an extraordinary talent, has been writing literature since he was 10 years old. Devotees can be seen who have given a positive message to the society through Nepali literature and have played an important role in social reform and construction. He was born in Dhobidhara, Kathmandu, on the day of Kartik Lakshmi Puja, 1966. Laxmi Prasad Devkota is the third son of father Pandit Til Madhab Rama Amar Raj Laxmi Devkota. Tirtha Prasad is Devkota. Devkota, who suffered from poverty from an early age, had a dream of earning money by studying English and reading Tixon. He was sick from birth. After much effort, Devkota was admitted to Durbar High School, the only school in Kathmandu. Devkota, who was enrolled in Trichandra College of Science in 1984 BS, after completing his certificate level studies, moved to the Faculty of Humanities. He had studied law after not getting a place in Bisay.
Devkota, who taught at Trichandra College for some time, also became the Minister of Education of Nepal in 2013. During his time, Nepal’s largest and first Tribhuvan University was established. He has written essays, short stories, essays, short stories, plays, songs, and critiques. Since he writes essays like poems, his writing is loved by everyone. His articles have been published in various newspapers and magazines even after his death.

He was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 after suffering a heart attack. After cutting his three-inch bowel and finding out that his death was certain, he wrote a poem in English to the doctor treating him. They were gone forever.
