Nepali chef Santosh Sah became the runner-up of 'BBC Master Chef Professionals UK' by excelling in cooking.  Santosh, who is considered to be the master of cooking, is being talked about not only in Nepal but all over the world.  The world famous media made Sah a 'celebrity'.  The reason was his simple and simple life, stories related to sorrow, struggle, diary and success.  Yes, today he is the one who succeeded in getting the attention of the world, who played a role in raising the dignity of Nepal and Nepalese people by spreading Nepal's original food items to the world.


 "It is not difficult to get success in the world after being born as a Nepali. It takes hard work.  We plan to promote Nepali food around the world market, ”said Saif Sah, who is visiting Nepal for the first time today after becoming the runner-up of the famous Master SAFE in the UK.


 Sah said that the plan is to move ahead with the objective of spreading awareness about increasing food quality.  Sah, who plans to open a restaurant in the UK soon and also in Nepal, said that Nepali chefs will get an opportunity in this.  He says, ‘Hard work is our success, we have to learn to be happy with what we have achieved.  I was happy when I was selling plastic bags and bread, but now I'm happy with the success. "


 He said that as many chefs as there are now, they have been making Nepali food since birth and since they started making it two years ago, they have come to Nepal to learn a lot from Nepali chefs.  ‘After being born in Nepal, nothing is difficult.  "We don't have food in hygiene," he said. "Our message is not to eat cold food and not to drink bottled water."  Cold and stale food affects the human body.  My message is to eat hot food and drink only bottled water.  This quality should be maintained for foreigners. '


 The son of an ordinary Nepali could not believe that he would achieve such great success.  There is no recognition for kitchen and food in the country.  Sah said that he started his journey of struggle with the aim of doing something in this area as well.  He said that even though he had worked in India for 10 years for SAFE, the idea of ​​doing something for Nepal's food and Nepal's identity was a success.  "Now, the quality of Nepal's food is increasing, the government can also earn income from food."


 Sah says that he will be involved in the promotion of Nepal so that he can get double success with the current success.  Sah is publishing books in five languages.  Popular Penguin Publications will publish Sah's 'Cook Book'.  Sah said that he came to Nepal to publish a book.  He said a global roadmap for food had been drawn up and the campaign would be launched from London.  Kitchen culture is not in Nepal, but it is possible to improve.  Everyone makes food. We should pay attention to quality food.  He said that sanitation and hygiene is a campaign to make Nepal more successful.


 What is Saif Sah doing in Nepal?


 Sah, who arrived in Nepal under the initiative and coordination of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter, will stay in Nepal for about a month.  He will be the keynote speaker at the 44th Annual General Assembly of PATA.  They will also participate in programs organized by Nepal Tourism Board and other organizations.  After staying in the hotel quarantine for five days, they will be active in tourist activities.  There is a program to participate in various programs with social distance.  Saif Sah has come to Nepal under the leadership of Pata Nepal in collaboration with Kathmandu Park Village and Turkish Airways.


 Khem Lakain, treasurer of PATA, said that his visit to Nepal was an achievement to convey the message that Pakwan can be an important part of various forms of tourism by conducting extensive research on Nepal's cuisine.  Nepal's famous SAFE Govindar Singh KC expressed happiness over the success of Nepal and Nepal's cuisine in the 40-year history of SAFE.  Chief Executive Officer of PATA, Suresh Singh Budal, expressed confidence that the arrival of Saif Shah in Nepal would help in promoting tourism in the country and bring Nepal to the world through food.

 Santosh Sah, a participant in the prestigious 'Master Safe Professionals 2020' broadcast by BBC, a popular British broadcaster, was the runner-up.  About three dozen chefs from different cuisines from around the world took part in the competition and were satisfied with the final three to reach the grand finale.  In the grand finale episode, the satisfaction seen in Nepali Dhakatopi became second.  He had garnered Nepali praise by displaying the national flag of Nepal in the last presentation.


 This success of Sah was covered by the media all over the world.  Significant assistance has been provided to spread Nepal's identity around the world and to promote tourism.  In the final competition, Saif Sah cooked boneless buffalo meat, shell greens, mutton and other dishes and put them on a plate of charesh.  Along with food, he also served 'Aila', popularly known as Sagun in the Newari community.


 Santosh's journey to the finals of the first SAFE to participate in the BBC Master SAFE with Nepali food was impressive, which made him world-renowned.  Dozens of original Nepali dishes including sisnu vegetables, bethe greens, yomri, gundruk, corn bread, cannabis pickles have succeeded in winning the hearts of millions of Nepalis from all over the world.  Saying that his main goal is to introduce the originality and diversity of Nepali food to the world, Santosh said that he will continue to be involved in the promotion of Nepali food in the future.


 Grand welcome at the airport


 Sah, the runner-up in 'Master Safe UK' and the first runner-up, has arrived in Nepal today.  Sah, who landed in Kathmandu at noon, was given a grand welcome at the airport.  He was welcomed by SAFE and tourism entrepreneurs of Nepal.  The atmosphere was very emotional due to the presence of 'Legend' chefs and young chefs who have been working in Nepal for a long time.


 Who are you


 Born in Karjanha, Siraha, Nepal, Sah currently lives in the UK.  He is the youngest of seven siblings.  Sah, who lost his father at an early age, started working at the age of 10.  He also has experience in buying and selling bread from selling plastic bags in the local market.


 Sah, who studied up to class 10 in Nepal, failed to pass the SLC and moved to Gujarat, India in 2000 at the age of 15 in search of work.  He started working as a renter in a restaurant in Ahmedabad.  He gained new experience by working in one hotel after another.  He learned to cook at work and also learned English.  After earning a diploma in hotel management, he became a five-star hotel chef within seven years.


 Saif Sah also organized a food festival in India.  The festival raised praise for Sah.  Soon after, with the help of a Gujarati businessman from the UK, Santosh offered to stay and work in the UK.  He moved to the UK in 2010 and worked in a restaurant.  He also worked in Lalit Hotel and Benaras in the UK.
