Reporting of the CPN (Maoist) leaders to the President: We have discussed the ordinance, not the impeachment

Kathmandu. Top leaders of the CPN (Maoist) have met President Vidyadevi Bhandari on Sunday. During the meeting held at Shital Niwas, the leaders clarified that there is no discussion on impeachment or removal of the President.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli called the ministers in Baluwatar on Sunday evening and said there was a conspiracy against the president. After returning from Shital Niwas, the Prime Minister had discussions with Ministers and Ministers of State in Baluwatar. There, too, the prime minister said there was a conspiracy against the president.

Top leaders of the CPN (Maoist) reached Shitalniwas on Sunday, the day after the Prime Minister made such allegations. After Prime Minister Oli dragged the President into the party's controversy, CPN (Maoist) leaders Prachanda, Madhav Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal reached Shitalniwas on Sunday to clarify the issue.

After meeting the President at Shitalniwas, a leader told Onlinebar, "We have told the President that we will solve the problems within the party." No agreement will be reached on any activity that would jeopardize the interest of the nation and the constitution. '

The top leaders of the CPN (Maoist) have urged the President not to be influenced by any misinformation and not to believe in provocative activities, the source said.

Prime Minister Oli has alleged that the members of the CPN (Maoist) Secretariat had called a lawyer at Prachanda Niwas in Khumaltar to discuss the impeachment of the President.

The Prime Minister had reached Shital Niwas on Saturday and conveyed the same information to President Vidyadevi Bhandari. He told the president that there had been discussions among party leaders about impeachment of him.

That discussion of Khumaltar

The leaders have made it clear to the President that the discussion was held at Prachanda Niwas by inviting lawyers but only about the ordinance and not about the impeachment.

"In Khumaltar, we have had discussions with the leaders of the secretariat, some members of the standing committee and legal experts. However, there was no discussion on the issue of the president, '' the leaders said in a meeting with the president on Sunday.

Leaders have been saying that after Prime Minister Oli ignored the request of the party leaders and adjourned the sitting of the parliament, there are fears that any unconstitutional steps including the ordinance will be taken.
