Kathmandu: Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has reiterated his stance of not leaving both the posts. In a meeting with another chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and general secretary Bishnu Poudel on Thursday, Oli said that he would not resign from both the posts and was ready to do other things.
"I don't want to talk about the president and the prime minister. Apart from that, if you want to talk about anything else, let's talk, I am ready, 'said a leader of the CPN (Maoist) Secretariat, quoting Oli's remarks to Dahal and General Secretary Poudel. The Dahal Nepal faction has demanded his resignation from both the posts.
After concluding the session of the Federal Parliament from the cabinet meeting, Chairman Dahal and General Secretary Bishnu Poudel were suggested by other leaders of the Secretariat to talk to Oli. ‘In the morning, Dahal had an understanding to postpone the cabinet meeting and not to postpone the federal parliament meeting. We sent Oli to talk after he made such a decision contrary to that understanding. However, Oli had taken a stand with both President Dahal and General Secretary Poudel, 'the leader said.
The leaders also sent Dahal for talks with the President after Oli saw an end to the parliamentary session and an ordinance that would make it easier to split the party as before. Following Oli's remarks, Dahal and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal's group concluded that Prime Minister and party chairman KP Sharma Oli had split the party. However, the group said that dialogue should be held as no formal announcement has been made. After postponing the sixth day's standing committee meeting in Baluwatar on Thursday, Dahal met the Prime Minister and the President.
