Kathmandu / Senior folk singer Jayananda Lama has passed away.  Family members have informed that artist Lama passed away at Kaushaltar in Bhaktapur this morning.

He is a permanent resident of Dharpa, Sindhupalchok Barhavise Municipality-2.  Lama, who started his singing journey five decades ago, is a renowned folk singer, compiler, actor, producer and director.  According to Shrestha, this morning Madhyapurthimi Municipality Ward no.  He was found dead in a fight with a vehicle at the gate of a house in Lokanthali.  According to the Metropolitan Police Complex, Bhaktapur, he had gone to Kathmandu at 7 pm on Tuesday to attend the meeting.  Lama was found dead at the gate of his house in a Maruti Suzuki car (Ba 3 Cha 7741) at around 7 this morning.
