-Sarita Giri- Wherever goes, she makes a fuss!

Kathmandu, After the government released the maps including Lipulek, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura, all the parties and MPs supported it.

But Sarita Giri, who stands as the only Jupiter, not only protested that the government had issued the map without facts and evidence, but also registered an amendment proposal on the constitution amendment bill ignoring the party's directives. As a result, she lost her parliamentary seat and ordinary party members.

After Giri disobeyed the party's instructions and discipline in this case, the party took action against to her after asking for an explanation. She has been knocking on the door of the Supreme Court after the party snatched her parliamentary seat and expelled her from the party. She claims that she has taken action against the constitution.

Sarita Giri is considered to be a woman leader with knowledge of legal matters. Earlier, when there was a dispute over the legitimacy of the Nepal Sadbhavana Party, she had taken the Nepal Sadbhavana Party into her own hands from the Supreme Court.

Can she regain her lost position in the same way now? The question is. Wherever she goes, no matter what party she goes to, she is causing some upheaval. Due to her lack of silence, she has been involved in disputes from time to time.

Entering Madhes politics

Sarita Giri, who started politics from the background of Nepali Congress, came to the politics of Madhes with the help of Hridayesh Tripathi. Hridayesh Tripathi, Rameshwar Ray Yadav and Rajendra Mahato formed the Samajwadi Janata Dal by splitting the Nepal Sadbhavana Party led by the late Gajendra Narayan Singh in 2051 BS.

Giri was admitted to the same new party by Tripathi. Giri became a central member of the newly formed party. But that party did not last even a year and reunited with the Nepal Sadbhavana Party. At that time, Giri was not in favor of party unification. She had tried to stop Tripathi and other leaders for unification but nothing happened at that time.

Eventually, Nepal merged with the Sadbhavana Party. Giri was made a central member of the party led by Gajendra Narayan Singh. She worked her way up the party. But she never left Tripathi.

After the death of Gajendra Narayan Singh, Badri Mandal became the acting president of the Nepal Sadbhavana Party. As he was a monarchist, dissatisfaction in the party had started since then. Leaders including Tripathi, Rameshwar Rai Yadav and Rajendra Mahato had started expressing dissatisfaction with the party.

In the Anandi Devi faction

In 2060/061, when Mahadhivashena was held in Rajbiraj, the party split into two. After becoming the Badri Mandal president from the General Convention, Hridayesh Tripathi split the party and formed Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandi Devi).

Sarita Giri also joined the same group of happy goddesses. The game of power started as soon as Nepal Sadbhavana Party was formed. Some succeeded in becoming a minister by abducting Anandi Devi, while others became ministers by forging signatures and signing under duress. Giri was made the spokesperson of the Anandi Devi group.

Later, after the resignation of the Badri Mandal, the Nepal Sadbhavana Party and the Anandi Devi group merged. Despite the unification, the party never remained stable. There has always been a dispute for power.

Later, Tripathi moved to the then Tamil Nadu. Rameshwar Yadav had already gone to the then Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Nepal. Bharat Vimal Yadav was also inactive. The party was in the possession of whoever Anandi Devi was with. At that time, Khushi Lal Mandal, Shyam Sundar Gupta, Rajendra Mahato and Sarita Giri were in the party.

Unrest against Gupta
General Convention of Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandi Devi) was held. The party split from the general convention in Birgunj. Rajendra Mahato formed the Sadbhavana Party and separated. And, Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandi Devi) came under the control of Shyam Sundar Gupta. Even then, there was a dispute between Rajendra Mahato and Shyam Sundar Gupta for party authority. But the Election Commission had recognized Shyam Sundar Gupta.

Shyam Sundar Gupta was a minister at that time. That is why Sarita went with Giri Gupta. But that did not last long. Opposing Gupta's style in the party, Sarita Giri went on a hunger strike at the party office. At that time, she was a central member of the party.

The purpose of the strike was to split the party. She had gone on a hunger strike against Gupta, saying she needed some excuse to split the party. She had enlisted the help of industrialist Moti Dugad to revolt against Gupta.

A leader who worked with him claimed, "Sarita Giri had taken a good amount of money from Dugad at that time, so he later made Dugad an MP."

Giri worked as a central member with Dugad's financial investment. Khushi Lal Mandal, the then leader of the Nepal Sadbhavana Party, did not like Gupta's political activities and wanted to leave.

At that time, Sarita Giri also supported Khushi Lal Mandal. Since Anandi Devi and Khushi Lal Mandal are from the same district, Anandi Devi was believing in Mandal. She had stayed at Khushi Lal Mandal's residence for many days. Probably an old and experienced leader, Anandi Devi obeyed Khushi Lal's words.

Thus became a member of the Constituent Assembly

Sarita Giri was also at Khushi Lal Mandal. At the same time, she became a proportional member of the first Constituent Assembly with the signature of Anandi Devi. Moti Dugad, who had spent money for Sarita Giri, also became a CA member through proportional representation.

Khushi Lal Mandal says, "I had asked Anandi Devi to make Sarita Giri a proportional member of the CA, but Giri did not respect that." The Mandal claims that Sarita Giri also misused Anandi Devi's name.

So much so that Sarita Giri started claiming that the Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandi Devi) was hers. Khushi Lal Mandal also claimed that he had Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandi Devi) because he had Anandi Devi. Meanwhile, Shyam Sundar Gupta also had his own claim.

This is how it happened, President

According to their claim, they held separate general conventions. Sarita Giri held the general convention in Lahan of Siraha while Khushi Lal Mandal held the convention in Janakpur and Shyam Sundar Gupta in Bhairahawa. All three held their general conventions. Shyam Sundar Gupta formed a separate party while Khushi Lal Mandal and Sarita Giri continued to claim Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandi Devi).

The party's dispute reached the Supreme Court. The issue went on for a long time. Finally, Sarita Giri got the official status of Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandi Devi). Khushi Lal Mandal says, "The Supreme Court, under the influence of the state, had authorized Sarita Giri. Some of the judges there were rude. All the evidence was on one side but the Supreme Court ruled on the other."

But Vikas Tiwari, who was with Sarita Giri at the time, said, "Anandi Devi is in favor of Sarita Giri because Giri got the party's authority. The Supreme Court has recognized Anandi Devi. '

Minister in Baburam's cabinet

As soon as Sarita Giri convened the party's general convention, she ran for the ministry. Sometimes Madhav Kumar Nepal and sometimes Dr. Baburam Bhattarai was staying at her residence. Tiwari says, ‘The decision not to do politics of power was passed from the general convention held in Lahan, it became a minute. Anandi Devi, who was associated with the party's name, was also removed from the convention.

From the same general convention, Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandi Devi) became Nepal Sadbhavana Party. '

The Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandi Devi) was sought while he was in power centers to become a minister. Tiwari has alleged that Sarita Giri immediately added Anandi Devi to her party after Anandi Devi's party joined the people's movement.

He said, "While Anandi Devi was removed from the party's name by the General Convention and it was agreed not to take the party into the government, Sarita Giri forcibly changed the name of the party to the government."

Dismissed from the ministry

In the government led by Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, she became the Minister of Labor. But then-Prime Minister Bhattarai fired her, saying she had abused her position. She was accused of corruption.

After leaving the government, she could not run the party. Vikas Tiwari had left with Sarita Giri. While Tiwari was a great help to Sarita Giri to get there. In a sense, Tiwari was the party's active person. He was very active in the party. From the formation of the organization to other activities of the party had gained momentum. Giri was not bothered by that.

Collaboration with Anil Jha

After Tiwari left, it became very difficult for Giri to run the party. Giri had a real Nepal Sadbhavana Party. In other words, Giri had a glove that had been running since the time of Gajendra Narayan Singh. Which had become a brand in itself for Madhes. Anil Kumar Jha had his eye on that. Anil Jha, who separated from Rajendra Mahato and formed the Federal Sadbhavana Party, proposed party unification with Sarita Giri.

Giri accepted leader Jha's offer. Sources say, "At that time, Giri had taken Rs 12 lakh from Anil Jha." Giri, who was integrated with Anil Jha, could not stay there for many days.

She withdrew from Anil Jha's party. For a few days, she ran the party, but she could not finish the race.

Forum entry

After that, she merged with the then Federal Socialist Party led by Upendra Yadav under the Panjachap brand. From that party, she became a proportional MP and also the deputy leader of the parliamentary party.

She is probably the first woman to join the party in such a small group. After she was made MP, other leaders in the party criticized the leadership.

The leadership was criticized at that time saying that those who fought in the Madhes movement were made new by not making them proportional MPs.

Although she was a Member of Parliament and leader of the Samajwadi Party, she was never active in the party. She used to go to party programs or activities if she liked, but she didn't like to go. A party leader said, "We have never had the experience of Sarita Giri in the Samajwadi Party. The party belonged to her but she did not belong to the party. And she showed her behavior in the map controversy. '

The leader said, "Once you are in the party, you have to follow the instructions given by the party, you have to follow the rules and regulations of the party. No matter how superior you are, you have to follow the rules and regulations of the party."

Vikas Tiwari, who has worked with Sarita Giri for a long time, also says that Sarita Giri has personal ambitions. He said, "Sarita Giri is a very ambitious leader. It is not wrong to be ambitious, but she should be for the people and the society. But Giri has personal ambition. She is a leader who can do anything for her position."

The understanding of Khushi Lal Mandal is similar. He said that Sarita Giri has worked according to her own characteristics in the Samajwadi Party. Commenting on Sarita Giri, he said, "Wherever she goes, she makes such a fuss."
