Pavia Italy, Kiran Kharel, 28 years old, originally from Nepal and residing in Pavia, shortly after 1 pm, was sucked in by the waters. He tried to save him by throwing his friend who was with him, a 22-year-old girl, into the water, but was unable to grab him. She risked being dragged away too. He wanted to spend a relaxing afternoon on the banks of Ticino River, but the river swallowed him up and killed him. An ambulance took her to the emergency room of the Policlinico San Matteo, in shock .
