Kathmandu, The Nepal Army has started the process of purchasing vehicles worth Rs. 180 million. Military officials at the base claim that they are buying "operational vehicles" because they are essential.
The army is buying 10 double double cab pickups for the Terai and hills. The army had demanded the purchase of a total of 30 pickups. The army is also buying a C-category ambulance. The army had demanded five ambulances.
An 'A' category ambulance is being procured for VIPs and VVIPs. It will be used during the rides of the President, Prime Minister and others. It is mentioned in the list of technical features prepared by the army that it will have facilities including ventilator.
Mountain jeep to uranium security team
A team of the Nepal Army has been deployed in Thulungphant of Mustang, which is said to have uranium since last November. A mountain jeep is being purchased for the team.

The army demanded two buses with a capacity of 40 people but they were not accepted. It is also buying six electric carts for the army's warehouse. The army also demanded the purchase of three kitchen mobile vans. But only two have been approved.
Three tools used in a disaster
