Kathmandu: There are 15 international flights on the same day at Tribhuvan International Airport today. Earlier, 14 international flights were operated on Wednesday and Tuesday. All these flights are chartered and cargo. Today, more than 1,300 Nepalis have returned home through rescue flights from different countries.
Various airlines are bringing Nepalis stranded abroad to Kathmandu by chartered flights. Today, Nepal Airlines has brought 242 passengers and two children from Narita, Japan and 149 passengers from Kuwait to Kathmandu. According to the airport, two planes of the same airline flew to Bahrain to bring Nepalis.
Similarly, Himalayan Airlines brought 154 passengers from Abu Dhabi and 156 from Doha to Kathmandu, the airport said in a statement. Jazeera Airlines has brought 146 passengers and one child from Kuwait. The airline's plane has flown back to Kuwait to bring Nepali.
Qatar Airways has brought 147 passengers from Doha to Kathmandu. Fly Dubai has brought 189 passengers and one child from Dubai. Another flight of the same airline has brought only one passenger to Kathmandu. The airport has also made public the schedule of 10 international flights on Friday. Chartered flights will be operated to Dammam, Riyadh, Yangon, Bahrain, Kuala Lumpur and Melbourne, according to a statement issued by the airport.
