Nepal's COVID-19 tally jumps to 1567, After the confirmation of 166 new cases

Kathmandu, The number of Covid-19 infection cases in Nepal has reached 1,567 as of 4:15 pm on Sunday afternoon, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

The ministry’s spokesperson Bikas Devkota says 166 new cases have been confirmed since the daily update on Saturday afternoon.

Here is the province-wise distribution of the cases confirmed so far.

Province 1: 162

Province 2: 624

Bagmati: 45

Gandaki: 23

Province 5: 561

Karnali: 123

Sudurpaschim: 27

Meanwhile, Devkota said the number of Covid-19 deaths in Nepal reached 8. One death was reported on Saturday and one was Sunday, according to him.

So far, 220 people have achieved recovery and been discharged.
